Crazy Last Few Weeks

Wow things around here got super crazy and I am finally making the time to sit down and write a little blog post so here goes.
In the past few weeks I took on a position at Star as a Title I Kindergarten teacher and and ERI for 1st-3rd grades and I absolutely love it!!! At first I was thinking that it was only going to be until April a few times a week but it turns out I will be there full time from now until mid May! This was a huge blessing and we are so thankful that I am able to partake in this experience. Oh and I will also be at the golf course again and I am so excited!!
I also took my middle school mathematics praxis test, if I pass this test then I will have an endorsement in Math and that makes me really excited so keep your fingers crossed....I will find out in about 3 weeks how I did!
Oh and my Mom and Dad are amazing.....they got me this little beauty for graduation...

I love it and I am so excited to have my own...the best part is it came with a few classes to teach me how to use it as well as a couple fun quilting projects! I will let you know how they turn out.
With my new found love....has come some very much needed craft time...I made my friend a tutu for her little girl who will arrive soon....okay so I didn't use my sewing machine for this but it got my creative juices going so we are going to let it count ;) anyways I had a fun day with my friend Bri last week and she was the one who helped me think of the tutu idea thanks Bri!
After I made the tutu I just craved to go back to the craft store and I finally finished my one wall....remember this one....

Now it looks like this and I absolutly love it!
With that trip to the craft store I also got a ton of cute fabric so that I can make a purse and a calendar quilt for February. I will post pictures soon!!

Oh and the best news of all I got this little puppy in the mail! I am officially a graduate now YAY!

Oh and it snowed a lot here in the mountains which meant that our ski resort finally opened and Zac and I enjoyed the slopes on Sunday! Im pretty sure we will be there again this weekend too! :) Well that is about it for updates hopefully I will be better at this blog thing.

Holidays

We had a wonderful very mellow and quiet Christmas, it was nice to just not have to worry about anything and just enjoy the time spent with family. This year we spent Christmas here in Idaho with my family, we have a Christmas tradition on Christmas Eve we always go over to my Grandparents house and we have a little gift exchange and just hang out....this year was a little different from years past in that my grandpa was in the hospital and we were not sure if he was going to be able to be home....so we waited in anticipation and our prayers came true he got to come home, the hospital released him at about 5:30 Christmas Eve! It was so good to have him there.
On Christmas Day we were with my parents and we opened gifts and had breakfast and then went to Mission Impossible 4....it was a great movie I loved it! Then we came back home and we all helped my mom make a wonderful dinner as well as squeezing in some Kinnect Sports.....lets just say I did not win the golf match so we will be having another game here really soon so I can have a rematch haha. We also got so spoiled by everyone and we made out like bandits....Zac's favorite things were all 4 seasons of The Big Bang Theory, his video game Skyrim, and the Roku. Some of my favorite things are I got a cute new purse, silver Toms, and lots of fun new clothes!
For new years we were down in Salt Lake with Zac's family, it was so fun to be with everyone....it has been awhile since we have all been together! We played Dance Central with the Kinnect, apples to apples, and a couple other games but most importantly we got to just hang out as a family and it was so nice!! We also went to The Red Iguana (if you are ever in Salt Lake and and good Mexican food you have to try this place it is amazing) anyways it was so fun...poor Jordan was not feeling well hopefully he is all better now :) and Zac and Wyatt ordered the same dish....oh and they didn't read all the way through the description of what they ordered....lets just say it was a very hot dish and they drank a lot of water and ate a lot of rice with it haha....minor detail in that there was jalapenos in it with the seeds...once they figured this out they started avoiding them....but they loved it anyways! Zac, Mom Linda and I also tried out another little Mexican place and they are famous for their fish tacos, I have the shrimp tacos and they were AMAZING!!!! We will defiantly be going to that place a lot more when we are down there. It is called Lone Star Taqueria (sp) so if you like fresh fish you need to go here!!!!
Well that is an update on what we did for the holidays....I don't have any pictures this time a) because I am on a new computer and have yet to transfer pics and b) I didn't take a whole lot either!
