Family Vacation with the Gorringe's

We had an awesome trip with the Gorringe family over our Christmas break. Mom and Dad were awesome they gave us a cruise trip for Christmas and it was awesome. Zac and I decided that it would be fun to do a pre vacation, vacation so we went to California a few days early and just hung out in Newport Beach and Laguna for a few days and did a little shopping ate some great food and did a lot of relaxing. Zac's brother Andrew and his fiance also joined us early.
Our first major thing we did was hang out on Balboa Peninsula for New Years Eve and we ate had great food and just hung out on the pier. The next day we rented a car and drove down to San Diego and went to the zoo. Oh my goodness it is the best zoo I have ever been too I absolutely loved it and the best part about it is that even though there was a lot of people there it didn't seem like it because it is so big!
Sunday we hung out around Newport and went to lunch at a great Mexican restaurant called Javier's the food was great until I found a wrapper in my food...but don't worry my lunch was free and they gave me a new one.
On Monday we hung around for a bit and packed our bags and we and boarded the cruise ship it was awesome to just be on the boat and go exploring and see everything and of course eat. The water that night was a little rough but it was so fun! We had a great dinner and our waiter, Ragu, and his assistant, ChaCha, were awesome! We then decided to go to the show they had that night and Andrew was one of the contestants, it was so funny.
Tuesday we woke up and we had a great breakfast and then got onto a little boat that took us to Catalina Island were we rented tandem bikes and cruised around the island....oh man those things are a workout but they are awesome when you go down hill because you cruise. We then did a little shopping and while us kids were walking around we found a telephone booth which kept us busy for a good 20 minutes and everybody that walked by couldn't help but laugh at us. We then got hungry so we went back to the ship and ate food and then we took naps and played games.
Wednesday we woke up in Ensenada Mexico. We had a great breakfast and then got off the ship and did a little bartering with the locals and made away with great buys and met some awesome locals.
Thursday we were on the ship the whole day so we lounged around did a little gambling and played lots of games and ate lots of ice cream haha.

All in all it was an awesome trip and I cant wait to go on another cruise!

Holiday Baking

So as most of you probably already know I do all the baking and Zac does all the cooking......it works better that way because I am horrible and cooking and Zac is AMAZING!! Well our friends Meah and Logan challenged us to make a soup like Bonefish Grills it is lump crab and corn chowder......well my friends we have success and it took the two of us to figure it out.
Holy cow talk about lots of butter and cream oh yeah and time consuming haha....BUT it is soooo good!!!! So Meah and Logan you will now have to come over and try some :)

On another note school is over for yet another semester and if I do say so myself it was a LONG semester with lots of work but it is over and all that work paid off for 3 A's and a B+......now it's onto student teaching starting in January and I will finish student teaching next December YAY so excited I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it feels amazing! Oh and Zac has kind of been considering a new major....graphic animation artist and I think that is the perfect major for him because he is an amazing artist!

P.S. we have 6 days till Christmas....which means 11 days until we go and visit sunny California...which then leads to....15 days until we start our cruise.....it could not have come at a better time! Thanks Mom and Dad Gorringe Love you!!

Fall....

Wow I know I have been neglecting the blog but the school thing has caught up with me and keeps me super busy.....but dont you worry next semester I will start my professional year and I am sure that I will have tons of stories to share about the little kiddos in my class...haha but until then this is what we have been up to.
Zac was a football coach this year at Eagle Middle School for the heavy weights, he coached the quarterbacks and receivers for the varsity and was the head coach for JV. The varisty had an awesome season and the JV did fairly well.

I have been so over whelmed by homework lately and at the beginning of the semester I was working on my application so I could do my student teaching...which was such a relief when I turned it in I must say....and the good news is I got accepted!!! It is such a relief!!
Another exciting thing that has happened this fall is that Zac's younger brother got engaged....which is so exciting I am so excited to have another sister! Well sorry I have a lack of pictures I will try to be better from now on but until next time I hope all is well.

P.S. I only have two more months until I will be enjoying the California weather and then off on a cruise...
